On September 24, will start in Turin Social Media Week – a week-http://socialmediaweek.org/ dedicated to social media and digital communication. Five days of meetings, seminars, conferences, workshops in which to work or who allow us to communicate or have fun. Will tell us what’s new in the digital field, what is happening on the other side of the world, what we have lost and how to contribute to innovation. All sponsored by Nokia and the Financial Times as well as other partners, will take place simultaneously in 14 cities around the world: Barcelona, Berlin, Bogota, Chicago, Glasgow, Hong Kong, Jeddah, London, Los Angeles, Sao Paulo, Seoul, Shanghai , Vancouver and Turin. The event theme this year is “Empowering Change through Collaboration – To empower change through collaboration”, which is the basis for the birth and spread of social media themselves. The meetings are born with the aim of satisfying the curiosity and the need for the widest possible audience: professionals and photo enthusiasts, the mothers who give support and share tips on the net, the record of the project Sao Paulo Calling on the recovery of the favelas. Not to mention information and updates on the emergence of new social networks, like Path, innovative and contrast, or fully digital television series such as “Lost in Google” or “Transit”, the first transmedia project to raise awareness of an important issue which is sexual identity. From September 24 to 28, from Monday to Friday, from 10 am throughout the day until evening, Turin will be plastered with events related to the web, also transmitted via streaming, and is part of an international event that has the its focus on a group of creative New York, since 2009, is building a real network of connections that covers the whole world and which this year Turin is one of the focal points. The events are open to anyone who wants to learn more about the world of digital communications and social networking, to those who have the curiosity to satisfy, for web professionals.
