La Francaise announces a new office opening in Seoul, Korea and the appointment of Shawna Yang as investor relations director for Asia.
Shawna Yang brings a wealth of experience of working with Korean institutional investors both locally and in international markets. Formerly, as head of the capital markets division for Cushman & Wakefield (C&W) Korea, Shawna was responsible for assisting Korean investors in cross-border investments as well as foreign investors investing in the Korean real estate market.
Before joining C&W, Shawna worked as a real estate fund manager at Mirae Asset Global Investment where she handled direct real estate investment transactions in Korea, India, and Hong Kong. While she was based out of Hong Kong and Singapore, she was also a part of the fundraising / investor relations team
dealing with both Korean and foreign investors.
Based in Seoul and reporting directly to La Française’s International development director, Philippe Lecomte, Shawna will capitalize on her former experiences in fundraising. Phlippe Lecomte said, “Shawna is in constant dialogue with Korean institutional investors and has been instrumental in several large scale international investments. Shawna Yang’s appointment strengthens the La Française operating platform in Asia, underlining the importance of Korea as a source of outward bound capital and where the group already has established client relationships.”
