A growing number of Italian companies specialized in the manufacture of caffè.e other infusions. 1,112 companies are currently active in this activity (+ 0.6% on 2011). They work mainly coffee (734 enterprises) sector, which increased by 3.1% in 2011 and focuses in Campania (83 companies active), Lombardy (82), Tuscany (74) and Sicily (70). Among the provinces, the total number of firms, is leading Naples (66 firms, 5.9% of the national total), followed by Palermo (48), Rome (45), Bari (40) and Catania (39). Milan is sixth with 36 active companies, 3.2% nationally. Also increases the interchange of coffee: over 2.3 billion euros in 2011 (+35.9% compared to 2010).
